To begin this assignment I searched the NAEP sites to obtain the data necessary to complete the graph. After gathering the information I went to the Kid's Zone site to make a graph. This site is very user friendly. Then I saved my graph in .jpg. The graph dimensions are 400x300 and it's size is 21.1KB.
In reviewing the data it is apparent that West Virginia did not reach the national average. The West Virginia scores were anywhere from one to six points below the national average. This could have been a lot worse. It seems that there is a fluctuation in the years as to how much of a difference there is. In 2000 there was only a point difference as compared to 2005 when there was a six point difference. In conclusion West Virginia is not doing too bad but could use some improvement in this area. As long as the scores do not drop any further in time West Virginia should be able to catch up with or exceed the national average.
